Introduction
For last fifteen years the essential changes in functioning of the English language, and first of all in sphere of the mass communication, predetermined by extralinguistic factors – global changes in a political and economic life of a society have occurred. In this connection, studying stylistic features of the modern language of mass media, namely, language of the newspaper and publicism is obviously necessary to us. Newspaper style was the last of all the styles of written literary English to be recognized as a specific form of writing standing apart from other forms. English newspaper style may be defined as a system of interrelated lexical, phraseological and grammatical means which is perceived by the community as a separate linguistic unity that serves the purpose of informing and instructing the reader.The language of political magazine articles differs little from that of newspaper. But such elements of publicistic style as rare and bookish words, neologisms (which sometimes require explanation in the text), traditional word-combinations and parenthesis are more frequent here than in newspaper articles. [5]All these and some features have caused an originality of figurative system of journalese style. Researches on stylistics of the English language of such authors as I.R.Galperin (1958), I.V.Arnold (1981), O.S.Ahmanova (1986) are put in a basis of the paper.
So, the purpose of the work: studying of stylistics of newspaper-publicistic texts. Object of research: the newspaper (publicistic) text. Subject of research: stylistics of the publicistic text. For achievement of the purpose it is necessary to solve the following problems: 1) to consider pecularities of journalese style;
2) to study lexical features of newspaper (publicistic) texts;
3) to study grammatical features of newspaper (publicistic) texts.
The urgency of the given research is predetermined by need of English language students in getting deep and thorough knowledge and making a distinct belief of properties and prominent features of public speech language or language.
